KING FLOYD'S® Orange Bitters approached this classic flavor profile a bit differently than the typical Orange Bitters. Among some other secret ingredients we use Citrus x aurantium, a special orange known for the bitterness of its peel. Typically used in culinary applications, this ingredient adds a very distinguished flavor to your cocktails.

Tasting Notes: Zesty and mildly sweet with hints of gingerbread.

Shanghi Martini:
Shake ice with 1.5oz Gin, splash of dry vermouth.
Add a couple dashes of King Floyd’s Orange Bitters.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass, garnish with a twist of Orange.

Ingredients: Mountain Spring Water, Alcohol, Organic Bitter Orange Peel Extract and other secret herbs & spices.

My Favorite Orange Bitters

I don't even remember what I ordered or where it was from but I received sample bottles of King Floyd's Orange and Wild Plum Bitters. After a month or so, I eventually got around to testing the Orange Bitters out, in (of course) and Old Fashioned. I was deeply impressed, and the next day set up a horizontal tasting using the same rye, the same simple sugar, the same ice and even copies of the same glass - only varying the bitters. Testing against two popular national brands and two popular local (Portland OR) brands, King Floyd's was the clear winner - way more pure "orange" punch, just the right amount of bitter. I immediately decided to order a bottle, straight from the source. It's become my absolute go-to for all my orange bitter needs. Highly recommended. Will definitely re-buy. (I might even get around to trying the Wild Plum one of these days...)
